The SocEnv Policy Forum have been running a series of seminars on energy topics in order to inform a unique SocEnv 'Energy Paper'.
Renewable Energy: 2020 Vision
The first Energy Seminar in this series was held in July 2006 and
explored the Government's Energy Review in light of comments from a representative from ICE, Lynn Robertson who is also a member of the Engineering Forum for Energy. Ian Dolben from the environment agency gave a presentation on micro hydropower.
The second seminar in November 2006 focused on the Future for Coal with guest speakers Andrew Timms of Mitsui Babcock and David Brewer, Director General of the Federation of UK Coal Producers. Presentations from the seminar are available to download from the list of documents below.
The third seminar was held in March 2007 and focused on the Renewable Energy sector.
