SocEnv Auditors

The Society for the Environment currently has a number of auditors, who represent each of the Member Bodies and who volunteer their services to carry out reviews of both new organisations joining the society and our existing Licensed Bodies.  All of the SocEnv auditors are extremely valuable to the Society and it is our aim to work together with them to continuously improve the rigour and effectiveness of the SocEnv audit programme.

Each year we hold an Auditors Workshop to enable our auditors to be updated on recent changes to procedures and to tell us about audit issues and experiences from their perspective.  We also aim to enhance auditor skills through case study group work and feedback review sessions.  Our plans for the future are to hold separate training days for new auditors at our Head Office in Atherstone.  This will ensure that consistently high standards are maintained by all SocEnv auditors having completed the relevant training course.

As a result of this year’s workshop we are now working on new ‘Auditor Guidelines’, ‘CPD Guidelines’ and an improved ‘Auditor Report Form’.  These will all be available to download from this website during the coming months.
